About Brad Aragon

Perspective built the hard way.

Brad Aragon is an author, law school graduate, former bail bondsman, and former federal inmate whose life has been shaped by addiction, consequence, survival, and rebuilding.

Brad Aragon

He is the son of legendary boxer Art Aragon, known as the original “Golden Boy,” and was raised in Los Angeles in a world shaped by fame, risk, nightlife, and a family legacy that was anything but ordinary.

Before prison, Brad worked in the bail bond business for over 25 years. He eanred a bachelors degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge and a Juris Doctor degree from University of LaVerne School of Law while working full-time. After his own life unraveled through addiction and poor decisions, he entered the federal prison system with a perspective few people ever have: knowledge of the system from the outside, followed by firsthand experience living through it on the inside.

While incarcerated, he ran the law library at FMC Fort Worth and helped draft motions and legal materials for inmates trying to navigate a system that overwhelms most people.

Today, Brad is the administrator for a well established law firm in Houston while building a platform around his memoir, THE HIGH COST …Of a Life Without Boundaries, and practical guidance for defendants and families. He now dedicates significant time assisting incarcerated individuals, and those facing incarceration, with legal research and filings

“Hard-earned perspective from both sides of the system.”
